RROM

The collection Rrom, Spring Summer 2012 comes with the development of a research on gypsy communities over the world. The necessity of personification, that is usually not explored in the process of fashion design, led the development of the collection and all the media that involves it, to connect the author with the development of the whole process.

In this way assuming the creative process as an inner structure, V!TOR and Vitor come together in order to go deep into the story that influences the author and how the work responds. Living between parallel places and adding stories to his life, this collection of garments, videos, texts and images are a true approximation to the actual self behind the work.

Using materials of his own wardrobe mixed with constructed interpretation of the self, concerning the “gypsyness” of his lifestyle, the result is a rich variety of colors that don’t fit at first glance but merge together with the development of the story. The silhouette has a straight association with his own image, a smooth V shaped structure translated in pieces that fit, at the same time, men and women. // Arquivo ModaLisboa.
